In order to assist new entrepreneurs in effectively managing their time within a 66-hour workweek spread over 6 days, I advise them to follow the activities outlined above, suggesting approximate time allocations for each.
This strategy aims to promote a well-rounded focus on business growth and the essential elements that contribute to achieving overall entrepreneurial success.
Time Allocation Breakdown (66 hours/week)
1. Developing Content – 10% (6 hours/week)
Time spent creating new content such as blogs, videos, or social media posts to engage with your audience and build brand presence.
2. Digital Marketing & Sales – 10% (6 hours/week)
Time spent on digital marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads), and optimizing sales strategies to drive revenue.
3. Lunch Break – 10% (6 hours/week)
Taking regular breaks to avoid burnout, plus at least 1 full day off each week for recovery and mental refreshment.
4. Posting Content – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time spent scheduling or posting content across social media and other platforms.
5. Getting Customer Feedback – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time spent directly engaging with customers for feedback via surveys, interviews, or follow-up emails.
6. Developing a New Skill – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time allocated for self-education or taking courses to improve knowledge in key areas relevant to your business.
7. Refining Current Skills – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time focused on improving or mastering existing skills that are crucial to business functions (e.g., marketing, sales, product design).
8. Checking Company Targets Progress – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time spent reviewing KPIs, goals, and performance metrics to track the company's growth and business health.
9. Working with Customers – 5% (3 hours/week)
Time spent interacting with customers directly, answering queries, resolving issues, or nurturing relationships.
10. Researching the Market – 8% (4.8 hours/week)
Time spent understanding market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
11. Engaging and Supporting Staff – 8% (4.8 hours/week)
Time dedicated to managing, motivating, and supporting team members in executing their job functions effectively.
12. Customer Pipeline Review & Engagement – 7% (4.2 hours/week)
Time spent tracking potential customers through the sales funnel, engaging leads, and nurturing prospects.
13. Researching Product Development – 6% (3.6 hours/week)
Time focused on developing, refining, or improving products based on market needs or feedback.
14. Product Review and Development – 6% (3.6 hours/week)
Time spent refining or testing product ideas and gathering customer insights to improve product offerings.
15. Accounting – 4% (2.4 hours/week)
Time spent on bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, tracking income and expenses, and managing tax-related tasks.
16. Competitor Research – 4% (2.4 hours/week)
Time spent researching competitors' offerings, marketing tactics, and business strategies to stay competitive.
17. Cashflow Review – 4% (2.4 hours/week)
Time spent managing the inflow and outflow of cash, ensuring there’s enough liquidity for day-to-day operations.
18. Budget Review – 3% (1.8 hours/week)
Time spent reviewing and adjusting the business budget to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
